What's New in First Look Pro Version 5
The world famous, mobile pre-fire plan organizer just got even better! The new
First Look Pro Version 5 is faster, more powerful, and more customizable than ever before.
Here are just few of the new features:
Faster! New, faster interface – All screens load faster! Searches are much faster, especially for large databases!
Occupant Groups –You can now group occupants together under a “parent” or master pre-plan, such as multiple stores in a mall, or multiple buildings in an industrial complex.
WISER Compatible–The Hazmat window now features a link to the popular WISER Hazmat program so you can automatically launch it from First Look Pro. If you don’t have Wiser, you can download and install it for free.
Generic Hazmat categories – Now you can refer to a general guide page in the ERG instead of selecting a specific material. This is great for generic products, like cleaning supplies, paint, solvents, and so on.
New Fire Flow Calculator –A comprehensive Fire Flow Calculator has been added, based on the ISO method of determining required fire flow. Separate worksheets are included so you can enter all the values needed to determine effective area, exposure factor, and communications factor.
Save Synchronized Searches –Search criteria that are saved on one computer are now synchronized with all other First Look Pro clients on the network, making it easy to share searches.
User Defined Fields –Is First Look Pro missing something? Now you can add your own fields of information that are unique to your department! You can add text boxes, Rich Text note boxes, check boxes and combo boxes (pull-down lists).
Improved Searching of Hazmat –Don’t know the exact name of a hazardous material you want to list? Improved search tools can help you find it in the ERG faster than ever!
Uses Adobe Acrobat® Reader 10 –Incorporates the latest .pdf reader from Adobe so you can incorporate .pdf files into your pre-plans.
Synchronize “Mutual Aid” Departments – Mutual Aid records can now be synchronized. Many large fire departments use the Mutual Aid features to divide their pre-fire plans among different stations. In First Look Pro 5, mutual aid records can now be scheduled for automatic synchronizing, so all your mobile computers will have the latest pre-fire plans.
Master Hydrant List - Hydrants are now managed with a Master Hydrant List to eliminate duplicates, save time, and result in a more accurate database. You modify hydrant information on the list and all the occupants that reference that hydrant are automatically updated. To add all your hydrants to this list you can enter the information for each one, import the list from a spreadsheet or other program, or read them from your existing First Look Pro 4 database.
Works seamlessly with First Look Pro Map (available separately) – Just look up the address in First Look Pro and click a button to see a map of the area. Use a GPS receiver (included in FLP Map) to see your vehicle’s progress towards the incident updated in real time!Click here for more on First Look Pro Map.
