Let’s Get Started Wizard – When you first open the program, instead of getting a blank screen, this unique wizard appears to guide you through the process of starting a new drawing.

Automatic Drawing Save – Never lose any of your work! You tell Quick Scene how often you want your drawing to be saved and it saves while you draw.

            Features For Drawing The Crash            

Thousands of Pre-drawn Symbols –Just point and click to place symbols of vehicles, signs, road hazards, trees, shrubs, weapons, and more! Rotate, re-size and even change the color of symbols as you place them. A powerful Symbol Manager makes it easy to find the symbol you want and place it correctly the first time!

Easy Intersection Toolbox –Automatically draw intersections of up to 20 lanes on each street with just a few clicks. Easily add turn lanes, medians, bus turn outs, and more. Preview the intersection and make changes before you place it.

Unique toolboxes, like the Easy Intersection Toolbox, do much of the drawing for you! Just select the options you want and click "Place" to place the finished intersection in your diagram.

Intersection Templates – Once you draw an intersection or parking lot, save it as a template and re-use it over and over. Just add the vehicles and notes, and you’re done. You can share templates with others in your department, too! A number of templates are included to get you started.

Coordinate Data Table – Easily turn your baseline (offset) or triangulation measurements into an accurate drawing of the scene! Enter your exact measurements into this “spreadsheet” and let the program accurately place all your measured points, lines, arcs, and curves in the diagram. You can import total station measurements, too! 

70 Custom Line Types – Just select a special Line Type from the list and turn any line, arc or curve into a railroad track, fence, guard rail, lane lines, and more. You can also select from several dashed line types, dotted lines, and dot-dash patterns.
  
Grids for Accuracy – An optional snap-grid makes it easy to be accurate by drawing everything to the closest 1’, 5’, 6’, 10’ etc. Grids are also available for Metric measurements.

Bubble Labels – Place consistent bubble labels to show locations of witnesses, evidence, photographs, samples, and more. Place a unique identification letter and number in each label.

       Features for Drawing Everything Else       

Shortcut Commands – Use the two-letter keyboard shortcut commands to cut your drawing time in half! You can also select commands from the toolbox and from the pull-down menus.

 Draw Anything – With just a couple of mouse clicks you can draw single lines, continuous lines, arrows, squares, rectangles, circles, three-point arcs, and curves. Sketch them or draw to exact measurements.

Flexible Text – Type notes and add them to your diagram at any angle. You can select the font type, size, justification, color, line spacing, make it bold or italics. You can even add an arrow.  

Quick Text – Commonly used labels have been created for you! Just select the one you want from the list and place it in your diagram. You can create your own labels and save them to use over and over.

Easy Builder - Use this unique tool to quickly draw a building footprint. Just select from one of the many building shapes and enter the lengths of each wall. Quick Scene draws the building for you!  

Easy Dimensions –Quickly place a dimension by just clicking on a line! For more flexibility, use the dimension settings toolbox to change the text orientation, size, font, color, units and arrow style.  

50+ Textures – Cover areas with a pattern or a solid color. Use textures (called hatch patterns) to show grass, concrete, soil, water, tile, shingles, etc. Use them to show blood spatter on walls, fluid spills, and more. 

Just Sketch or Draw Precisely – Simply point and click to create a quick sketch or use the unique Easy Lines toolbox and the "Direction-Distance" drawing feature to draw lines to your exact measurements. 

Powerful Layer Manager – Use Layers to divide up your drawing and view only certain details at one time. For example, Layers allow you to show just the intersection then click one button to turn on the display of the vehicles in the crash.

Unlimited Undo/Redo – If you make a mistake, don’t worry, just “Undo it”. You can go back and forth as many steps as you want. 

Pre-drawn symbols are included for vehicles, trees, signs, road hazards, bodies, and more. If we don't have a symbol for what you want, you can draw it and save it make your own symbol!

Multiple Ways to Select – The key to editing is being able to select exactly the objects you want to modify. Click on objects to select them, drag a window around them, add and subtract objects from the ones selected to get only the objects you want.

Multiple Ways to Move – Drag selected objects to a new location or move them precisely by snapping them to an exact point.

Multiple Ways to Copy – Use Copy & Paste to create one copy of the selected items, or create multiple copies at a specific offset distance. Use the Double It Up command to create a copy of an object at an exact distance away, such as for a driveway or sidewalk.

Change Properties – Select any object to change how it looks, including layer, color, line type, and line width.

Editing for Precision – Break objects, trim objects, and extend objects so they end precisely together. No more lines sticking past the corner where you don’t want them!

Stretch Any Objects - Stretch an object or group of objects by dragging one edge with your mouse or by entering an exact distance to stretch.

Match Properties – Instantly match the characteristics of any object (layer, color, line type, width) and apply them to whatever you draw next!

Zoom Commands – Zoom out to see all of a large crash scene or zoom in as far as you want to see the small details. There is never any loss of resolution or “pixelization” of the diagram.  

Save to .PDF and .JPG – Save your crash diagrams as a .pdf file or a .jpg image so it’s easy to include them in reports and share them with others. 

Flexible Printing Options – When you’re finished drawing, get exactly the print you want by setting printing options for scale, fit to paper, landscape or portrait, line thickness, page numbers, and more. You can also print poster-sized drawings on a large format plotter, or “Print Tile” a drawing across multiple pieces of paper and tape them together.
