Chances are your pre-plan data consists of many different files, including database files, diagrams, map files, photographs, maybe even .pdf or other text files. When changes are made to the data on one computer, how do you ensure the updated information is available on all your other computers, especially mobile laptops that may not always be on your network?

Now, with the free Package and Deploy module, you can automatically bundle up all your critical First Look Pro pre-plan data and send it to any other computer. The data will be copied to the proper folders on the other computers and First Look Pro configured to find all the files.

First You "Package"
	Select the location of your master First Look Pro database.
	Select which other files you wish to “package” including mutual aid files, drawings and photographs, and map files.
	Select the location for the final package, which could be on the computer’s hard drive, on a CD ROM or flash storage device.
	Click “Make Package” and the files are then collected from all over the master computer into a single .zip file.

Then you "Deploy"
	Select the location of the package you wish to deploy. It might be on another computer or on a CD ROM.
	Select the location on the remote computer where you want the First Look Pro database to reside.
	Select a path on the remote computer where you want diagrams and images to be placed.
	Select whether to copy the data files only, or data files and program preferences.
	Click “Deploy Package” to copy the package to the remote computer and set up First Look Pro to find the data.

A detailed log is also created that tells you exactly what files were copied and if any listed in First Look Pro were not found. You can then tell if any files have been deleted or moved from the location expected by First Look Pro.

The Package and Deploy Module is NOT a data synchronizer. It does not automatically update remote computers. Instead, it gives you a fast and easy way to choose a computer that you wish to update and copy all the pre-plan files to it, maintaining the proper folder locations and First Look Pro preferences.
